Girly Hair

Emerson misunderstood me one day when I said something about her pretty, curly hair, and ever since then, she's called it "girly hair" instead of curly hair. :)

I love it!

I had to document this sweet phrase, and got creative with the Hambly transparency and the cool Fancy Pants paper in the main Scripts kit and the add on.

I carefully cut out the neato design on the Fancy Pants paper and set it aside to use for another layout. Then I placed that on top of the small circles Hambly transparency to create the base of my layout.
The gold rub on looked really cool on top of the transparency. I colored the raw chipboard thickers from the add on with colored pencils, then added a layer of Stickles on top.
More Stickles on the Sassafrass frame (cut out from the patterned paper), plus the tiny silver Jenni Bowlin rubons and Glitz butterfly add just the right girly touches!

Jump Up, Jump Up and Get Down!

How about a little House of Pain on this rainy May day!

Did I mention how much I am loving the May kit. I have completed 4 layouts with it (one of which was a two pager) and have one more in the works (just need to get some pics printed). AND I have left overs for some cool cards (still unmade - what to do?).

I got these great shots of Jason and Emerson last time we played at Chez Tillery. I love how they are blurry and it totally shows the movement. Everything is from this month's kit except for the American Crafts Zing! Embossing Powder . Its opaque and it adds just the right amount of pop to the edge of this layout. Plus, it coordinates perfectly with the cute Craft Fair AC Paper in the kit.

Teacher Gifts

Today was my kids' last day of Mother's Day Out, and I wanted to give some sort of small token of appreciation to their teachers. They give me a day of sanity every week, and I am so thankful for that!!

My friend Michelle (me and my scraps) had some really great and easy ideas on her blog for a few little gifts, and when I saw these note pads, I knew that's what I had to do!
I added the punched scalloped circles from my stash, otherwise, this is all from the May kit + addon.
These decorated hand sanitizer bottles were so quick & easy to make, but I loved how they turned out. The puffy, glossy Thickers from the addon added just the right touch.
My kids were so excited to give their teachers their gifts this morning, and they were well received! :)

Smirk

This silly, playful picture needed a playful layout to show it off.
I used an AccuCut die to cut the green paper, and painted around the edges of the cardstock.
I layered Sassafrass paper whimsies, a frame cut from the Sassafrass paper, Glitz stickers, and a few other elements on top!

A Two Pager!!

I never do two page Layouts, but I went for it on this one.  There is a "Make it Your Own" Challenge over at Scrapbooks, Etc. and even though the inspirational layout is a 1-pager, I did a 2-pager.  I loved the Glitz paper in the kit so I used it for my bold top half.  I layered Fancy Pants and the AccuCut cork to make a border between the pictures and the PP.  A few Paper Whimsies and AccuCut Flowers tied it together.  Still loving the American Crafts Thickers!!!!

Sometimes what you least expect....

This May Scripts kits may be one of my all time faves. I have a slight addiction to Sassafrass Paper Whimsies. However, the grungy blue, red, black paper was not my favorite. I just didn't care for it...at first. Then, when I sat down to scrap this old old OLD picture of Leah and me in front of the Legendary CBGB in NYC, I realized this was the PERFECT piece of paper for this layout. I also cut out some of the little frames from the Sassafras Paper to use along with the paper whimsies. Everything is from the May Scripts kit except the word "bowery" which is made of Heidi Swapp Rubons. More to come!

May kit

How about a little scrappin' with the May kit? Does your family give you as hard of a time as mine do when it comes to photos? All these two want to do is cut up and the whole time I just keep saying the more you act like this the longer it will take.
The Hambly and red brads are from the add-on. You guys need to order this add-on. I'm using it as much as the regular kit.
Just look at that sweetie! You wouldn't believe it if you saw her now. She's huge! Anyway, this is all from the may kit except for the orange brad and the Roxy tag. It came off of a shirt and I've been waiting to use it. I couldn't believe how great it matched. It looks like it came with the paper. Total side note... If you haven't tried machine stitching what are you waiting for? It adds so much and you're not gonna believe how easy it is.

best friends

One last layout from the April kit. I colored in the printed drawing with colored pencils.
I also cut around some of the design and popped it up with foam tape for dimension. I added glitter and brads for texture. Maybe you can see it better in the close up below.

April kit

I added a piece of black cardstock and glitter sticker letters from the march kit. Everything else is from April. These photos are from the day Savannah and Laura Beth auditioned for the theatre academy. She made it in and she will be attending next fall. Now she really is a drama chick.
I hand cut some fun splashes and did a little machine stitching. Everything is from the April kit except for the white cardstock. Everybody has white cardstock right?

May Scripts Kit Sneak Peeks

We are working on kitting them up this week and hope to have them out on Friday!

We have an add-on this month! Enjoy! $19.99

Friends & Chicks

I loved the bright springy colors in this kit; they were great for this girly-girl layout about Emerson and her friend.
I did some handcutting and punching with this layout; the flowers are from the Making Memories paper, the orange centers were scallop punched from the backside of the Hambly paper, and then green punched cirlces were added to the top.
I wanted to make sure to make a couple of bright happy cards with this kit, and here are two that I came up with!
I layered & pop-dotted two pieces of the Heidi Swapp paper on this card to make it have some interesting dimension.
Some of the rubons were put on white cardstock, then cut out and layered here; the Heidi Swapp die cut was altered to make a frame and the word was cut apart to give it a different look.

He's a Big Boy Now

I really loooove the colors in this month's kit. I think the striped Making Memories paper and stickers may be some of my all time faves. I used my handy dandy Marvy Uchida Giga Scallop punch to make kind of a border around this picture of J. I also used some scrap cardboard to lend a rugged "boyish" look to the pastel colors. Then I sewed a little semi circle around the border with my sewing machine. It still kills my Mother that I use the machine for layouts and not clothes! I also cut the middle out of the Heidi Swapp "Relax" sticker and used the remaining border as a frame for my name and date info.

It's a Girl!

We found out our big news this week and I couldn't wait to scrap the ultrasound pics and dvd!

This kit couldn't have been more perfect for my first layout for our new sweet girly.

(I added the glittery stickers from last month to the title; other than that, this is all from the current kit!)
