Caution!!

Caution!! teenage years approaching! Boy, that's the truth.
Just a tip... The Heidi Swapp chipboard letters in this kit paint beautifully. I just pick the letters I need and paint them while there still on the packaging. Very easy!

More inspiration from the September Scripts!

Here's one more layout from the September Scripts kit.... I just had to scrap these pics of my two littlest ones sharing one of their first playing moments.

I crumpled up the notebook paper and tore it, and then added some ink to make all the texture show up.

I also cut along the scalloped design on the other side of the Cosmo Cricket paper, then turned it over to the yellow striped side to create the scalloped strip.

Colored pencils added some contrast to the Heidi Swapp chipboard letters. I glued on some patterned paper to the Scenic Route chipboard ampersand, then cut it out with an exacto blade, sanded the edges, then inked them with turquoise ink.
(Chipboard frog accent was from my own stash!)

Another September Layout

J has been drawing all these cute little happy people lately.  I just HAD to put one on a scrapbook page.  I cut the word "art" out of the KI Lace paper to use in my title.  TFL!!!

Last month got away from me. My kit is still in the package! Yikes! I want to play with it sooo bad. I made a few layouts with this month's kit and it has been so fun! The colors are so bright and full of energy! We went to the Aquarium in Chattanooga this summer and this kit was perfect for that. For some reason the color isn't as vivid in this picture. I think my pics were so vivid and to brighten the photograph of the layout, I was washing everything else out! I hope you love this kit and are using all the ideas to create layouts and projects of your own. We really love putting these together and I can't wait to play with OCTOBER! The blue star paper has holes in it. I used the rickrack as a trim for the star. I thought it made it stand out just a little more!

Just a simple LO

Nothing too extraordinary here, but this one is done! And, I had fun playing with the nametag!

I am loving that star stamp from the add-on, if you did not get that one, you might want to reconsider......and because I am not fantastic with the fabric, I just die cut it!

Just a little something from the September kit

Hi Y'all

This kit was the ultimate back to school kit. Since both my kids go to "school" I made a first day of school page for them. I loved the little Glitz roller stamp. I used it to "distress" the edges of the layout. Can't wait to see what all the subscribers make next!!!!

Have a great weekend.

Katie

Dreams & Colors

Here are two projects that I whipped up with this month's awesome kit...

The first project is a crayon holder I made for my kids using a Crystal Light container. We drink a lot of it around here, and I always hate throwing away the plastic containers. They are also the perfect size for foam paintbrushes, markers, pencils, etc.

I used the fabulously cute Glitz stamp roller with Staz On ink around the bottom part of the container.

I love love love love all the office themed products out there right now, and I had a lot of fun layering all the different notebook paper inspired stuff in the kit this month: patterned paper, label stickers, and chipboard letters! Adding a bit of ink around the edges really makes them stand out against each other, and I love the looks of the layers.
