Knock........We have Good Candy!

I always wanted to go to the houses with the "good candy" when I was a trick-or-treater, so I try to pride myself in having "good candy" at our house!

I usually do Reese's Cups, or M&M's and one year........I went all out, and did Krispy Kreme! No joke! It was a good year!

So, I thought this little door sign would be a great reminder of how much fun we can have with this silly little holiday!

And, heck, if you want to, bring your kiddos by.......I will have Good Candy!

Halloween Mini

I am obsessed with these messy little mini books. I used most of the supplies from the Oct scripts kit and the Accucut to create this little book that is ready for this year's Halloween pics! I used my Crop-a-dile and some Bind-It-All wire to make the binding. Also, I took "bites" out of the edges of the pages with a scalloped punch. I'll post some updated pics of the album when I get pictures of my little gouhls .

A Scary Card & A Spooky Candle

The card is made out of some Hambly, so it gives it a ghostly, transparent feel. The ghostie is made out of the backside of the Making Memories paper.

This candle holder is a simple jar wrapped with black tulle and embellished with the velvet ribbon, flair, and spider ring (I cut off the ring part of the spider and attached her with a glue dot).

I made a little "coaster" for the candle holder out of a piece of the Hambly frames overlays that I cut out.

You...Me...& a cup of Tea!

Well, I had a few little pieces leftover, and I wanted to make up a sample, because I hope to make a bunch of these little treasures for the month of November for all of the teachers at the Elementary School (well, not all of them.....but all of the ones that affect us!)

Anyways, I love how it turned out. And, can't wait to make more! So simple.

The pocket is from the accucut, and the rest are just strips, ribbon, etc!

punkin pickin

I haven't been to the pumpkin patch since Savannah was in kindergarten. We had a ton of fun. Such a fall thing to do ya know.
I did use a couple of different colors of cardstock for the pumpkins and a piece of cardboard for the sign that wasn't in the Oct. kit, but these are things that you should have in your scrap box anyway.

Pumpkin Patch Mini Book

I meant to post this earlier today, but life & time got away from me! I am so sorry folks!

Hopefully this jam-packed-full-o'-pictures post will make up for it. :)

I wanted to make a mini-album of our pics of the pumpkin patch, but I didn't have one on hand that I really liked the size of, so I made one myself. This is SO easy to do- it's just a strip of cardboard from a box, and I bent it so that there is a little bit of a binding on the side- probably about 1" thick.

I folded the inside pages the same way, and then poked through all the layers with a paper piercer. I used the cute glitter brads in the kit to hold it all together. (Have I mentioned how much I LOVE these brads?!)

The stems on the pumpkins are made out of snipped off edges of my spooky tree glitter cut. I knew that I wouldn't use the whole tree on another project, but it would go off of the side, so I snipped off little bits that would eventually get trimmed off. The inside pages are very simple- just a few little strips of paper and embellishments and stickers. The photos really stood out against the colors on the papers, so I let them speak for themselves.

The last page had a few of my memories jotted down from the day. You could easily include these notes on each page, but I wanted them in one cohesive spot. :)

Silly Pumpkin

I love these pics of my nephew, because the capture his little personality perfectly! And, I love, love, love these Glitz Stickers in the add-on kit! Wow, those look SO much better on a LO.......the packaging does not do them justice!

It's a two-pager, so the pic is not so great, sorry about that!

And, then a fun little Card! I could not resist!

This was a simple layout, but a lot of fun to do. By the way, if you haven't read the Twilight series yet I highly recommend them!

Style File

Purple & glitter & elegance said FASHION to me, so I had to use this kit for a layout about Emerson's many fashion choices.

I inked the edges of the layout with some Versamark embossing ink, and then used glitter embossing powder instead of just inking it with black ink. I was totally inspired by our own Katie and her mad embossing skillz.
The cute Hambly notebook that comes in the kit was perfect to make as a mini album for more pictures of Em. I'm just reinforcing the pages with some cardstock as I add them in. The whole notebook fits inside of the large pocket I made on the page with cardstock that has been adhered on three sides.
I used the same glitter embossing powder on the Heidi Swapp flourish stamp that came in one of the kits a few months ago. I LOVE how you can see the sparkle in the dark purple glitter cardstock that comes in the kit.
The American Crafts metallic silver pen is AWESOME for showing up on dark stuff. I love using it to go around the edges of elements I want to show up more. Those glitter brads are pretty cool too. ;)

Not Halloween Themed

So, this picture I had of Cam really lent itself to the purple/orange/green color scheme.  Red hair (orange), purple flowers on her dress and green grass.  Granted, there are bats on the paper so I colored in the center of the bat design so they are no longer technically bats : )  I also love that this paper is double sided.  I've really been into folding a double sided paper over in the middle of a layout so you can utilize both sides.  I also backed the picture with a transparency so you can see straight thru the layout.  Can I just tell you how much I loved this kit?  Its my favorite so far....

Mick-Or-Treat!

How cute are my pirates? Very cute!

I love this layout, and I love how this kit is so simple, yet so unique!

I love how the ribbon PERFECTLY matches Pirate Mickey's Hat! Could it get any better than that?!
I used the packaging from the stamp, because I really did not want to emboss, yet I did not want a matte look to the stamp!
Those shimmer brads, they rock!

Go team!

I am itching to play with the new October scripts kit, but I had one more from the September kit to share. I cut a little Bama banner from the dictionary paper and chipboard. I also painted the Heidi letters black and added a little Bama "A". Oh and let me just say ROLLLLLLLLLL Tide ROLL!!!!

Hot guys!

Ok, so this one......is stacked with two hot guys, so who really cares about the layout, right?!

Well, I had fun with this one! Scott and I......along with Gretchen and her brother will be running the Disney Marathon! We are excited about that, and the training is fun, and just the fact that we will all be running, is great!

So, just a fun, kind-of motivational layout! That star is the bomb. I am gonna have to see about getting another one of those!
