Murray (July Scripts!)

My little guy has this fascination for some friends of ours' cat, Murray.

Atticus has taken to Murray like Calvin did to Hobbes.

He tells me stories about how he and Murray ride bikes together (Atticus' is blue and Murray's is green) and then snuggle together (Atticus sucking his fingers and Murray sucking his paw!). LOL

Atticus even has a beanie baby version of Murray that he carries around.

Of course I had to record this.

Of course. :)
(To make the green frame, I traced the die cut paper in the kit around the green cardstock, cut it out, and then cut out a large square on the inside. I added liberal amounts of distress ink to define the edges!)

July KITS are here!

This summer has been a whirlwind! I feel like I have been away from home more than ever! I guess now that my kids are bigger we can just go. You don't have to pack a bunch of extra stuff and they are pretty self sufficient! I told Emma to unpack her bag from last week and she asked me why! "We are leaving tomorrow to go to Nashville!" Ok, I guess she's right. The only reason I come home is to do laundry!! Last month's kit was so fun and bright, I know you have lots of gorgeous colorful, summer pictures to play with! This month is very similar! Still lots of bright colors, but we added a lot of black and white and gold, too. I thought this summer will be so overloaded that most people won't be scrapbooking too much. When you get those kids back to school, you can pull out all the kits and put them together! Of course, they work on their own. I wish I could just get rid of all my extra stuff and work only with the kit each month. Wouldn't that be satisfying? Oh well, I am full to the tops of my garage with "extra" stuff from the store. I need to have a garage sale!! I'll let you know if I get that on the calendar!!

Ok, here are the pics........We have a couple of extras this month if you know of someone that is interested...or you NEED an extra!!
this kit is full of fun goodies from your favorite scrapbook companies! Basic Grey, Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket, Hambly, Heidi Swapp, Little Yellow Bicycle, My Minds Eye, and then the random yummies we have "found" like, ribbons, pages from a story book, flowery tissue paper!!
The add on is VERY limited this month!!! In it you will find more Making Memories, Prima,

Sassafras, 7 Gypsies, American Crafts, Hambly, Creative Cafe, and Jenni Bowlin! do you see that piece of "something" in the top left corner? Oh my that is handmade tie dye paper!!! It is hard to tell if it's fabric or paper because it's so soft....it's definitely paper. I LOVE IT!!!

Enjoy the rest of the summer! It's going to be gone way too soon!

What SIDE EFFECTS do you have from your monthly dose?

We want to see all the fantastic things you've made with your kits - you know, the side effects from your monthly dose of creativity!!

Have you been getting Scripts since the beginning? Have you just joined? Either way, we would love for you to share your creations with us, and we'll share it here on the blog with everyone else. If you just used a little of one kit, mixed with a bit of another month and some of your own stash thrown in, we still want to see it. I know I've used bits and pieces of my kit here and there and then there are times I've used it all together. So, share it all with us!!

Here are the details:

Email your pictures of your projects to: theSCRIPTSkit@gmail.com

Since this is the first time we've done this - feel free to send us stuff from ANY of the kits you've received so far. We'll keep taking emails until the 10th of August.

We'll post all the side effects here around August 15th.

We'll randomly select 10 winners to receive a fun embellishment sample pack featuring tons of Hambly die cut shapes, lots of clear acrylic elements and more. You'll get your fun prize in with your August dose!!

Each month, you can share with us your side effects from the previous two kits. So, in September, we'll feature your creations from the July and August dose. In October, we'll feature any new projects from August and the September dose.

This is a great way to share ideas with others, see how someone else used the product and get new layout and project ideas. I mean, who doesn't want to know the side effects from their Script?? And you know how they say everyone can have different side effects - well here we can share them all.

So, go take pictures of what you've made, email them to us and cross your fingers that you win a little E Pack (you know, like a Z-pack hee hee) of embellishments made just for this occasion!

Thanks for playing along!!

Don't forget - email your photos by the 10th of each month and look for them to be shown off here around the 15th!!

Deep summertime... when laziness finds respectability.

I loved that sticker quote found on one of the October Afternoon Cherry Hill stickers in this month's kit, and combined with this fun picture I took the other day, my inspiration for this layout was found.
I'm not a big "summertime gal," and I wanted to record my perspectives on summertime and how we survive this season- not only every year, but in particularly this year, when I'm big and pregnant and waaaaaaaay too hot!
The journaling focuses on our daily schedule and how we have settled into a very simple routine... lots of little things that become the big things throughout our day. P.S. I attached those cool felt flowers with a big, fat glue dot, and they haven't budged!
