Bring on the Candy!

What started out as a pretzel bucket, ended up as our cute little Candy-o-meter! I love it!

I repurposed it with this month's Scripts Kit, and a little bit of junk from my stash!

Not quite sure if I like the ribbon bars on the back, but we will see, for now....they say:
Get busy
Not quite
Almost
Jackpot!

And, after the Trunk-Or-Treat, and the Fall Festival, we are half-way full!!!!

Bring on the candy!

**PS: Mrs. Smart, looks like that 4th Grade Treasure Box will be full again soon!!!! (wink!)

School Days

Here's another layout I did with the September kit. I of course totally tried and tried to get a good picture of the kids all together before school one day... why did I think that would work? hehe

The Shoes of Home

This is a photo I love, 2006-mind you, and I love it!

I was a little inspired by my friend, Gretchen, with the use of this super cute Making Memories paper....and I love the little witch shoes so much....I had to combine the two!

The little cute Orange Pink Paislee letters kind of faded into the paper, so I outlined them. And, the flowers are Prima, of course, from my stash!

Very simple. Very complete! That's the goal!

I love LOVE love this October Kit! More to come.........

His Little Lady

Atticus has been calling Ariana his "Little Lady" (or in his words, "Widdle Wady") since she came home from the hospital. I have no idea where he picked this up or heard it, but I absolutely adore it. He is gonna make some lucky gal a good husband someday! ;)

I made this with the September kit, with the addition of two Jenni Bowlin memo pad cards and some October Afternoon letter stickers (the black ones).
I made some funky scallops and then painted little hearts on with Elmer's Paint Pens. Then I went over the white paint with clear stickles and traced around them with a pen. More stickles added some extra dimension to the October Afternoon die cuts.

Coming Home Sweet Home

I too am still playing with the August kit!

I actually made the majority of this layout back in August, but I knew I wanted to save it for Ariana's "coming home from the hospital" pics, so I didn't add the photos, journaling, and final little touches until a week ago.

The My Little Shoebox paper inspired me to make a little paper pieced house. I used a Fancy Pants journaling spot, a KI letter sticker turned on its side, and some cardstock, buttons, and rick-rack for the roof. Little touches of inking and doodling make it stand out.

My perfect friend!

Now, don't get me wrong, she is NOT a perfect person.....so I am not trying to be ridiculous here, but....you know.....when you think about it, you have tons of "friends" and then lots of "good friends" (you know, the ones you WOULD spend a day at the mall with), and then just a few "I mean...real friends" (you know, the ones you would call immediately if you were in an accident, or the ones you call first when you have the best news in the world......)

Well, my Susie is one of those! And, I loved this kit....and just piecing a bunch of random together! And....most of all, I am glad to have this layout...on paper!

**and, by the way, this is me....still playing with my August Scripts kit because I crazy can't remember to get the September one from Lucy** Maybe next week!

Tunes

I am a huge fan of Pandora Radio. For those of you who are unfamiliar, you go to Pandora and enter a song or an artist you like and create a station (i.e. I have a Jason Mraz Station bc I like Jason Mraz). Then, Pandora will select songs from that artist as well as similar artists and play them for you. It is the greatest! I have discovered so much new music from listening to Pandora. AND IT'S FREE!!

Anyhoo, I saw a challenge over on the Dares blog (yes, apparently its still around in some form) where the Dare Girls did a playlist layout. I was inspired by the Cosmo Cricket cassette tape paper (which btw, my kids did not know what they were and that should not be surprising) to make a Playlist Layout of my own. I burned some of my current faves to a disc and included it in a little pocket on my layout. I wonder if CD players will be around in 20 years...
